Birth of Prey (2008), il secondo lavoro di Lisbeth Gruwez/Voetvolk, è un solo di danza interpretato con due musicisti dal vivo. Birth of Prey osserva gli esercizi, i rituali e il linguaggio del corpo tra predatore e preda.
Il corpo umano è una macchina piena di riflessi animali, ma come vengono coinvolti i nostri istinti? Come dipendiamo da ciò che ci guida, e per quanto tempo riusciamo a controllarlo?
Birth of Prey è un rito circolare: la costante metamorfosi dell'essere.

Birth of Prey (2008), the second work by Lisbeth Gruwez/Voetvolk, is a dance performance supported by two musicians playing live on stage. Birth of Prey observes the exercises, the rituals and the language of the body between predator and prey. The human body is a machine full of animal reflexes, but how our instincts are involved? How do we depend on what guides us and how long are we able to control it?
Birth of Prey is a circular ritual: the constant metamorphosis of the being.
